Today is World Parent’s Day!

What better day to celebrate this breed of Champions?!

An African parent would rather suffer incurable disease than to open their mouth to tell you how much they love you.

Of course, you should know that they love as much as any parent the world over does, if not more!

Which parent still dots on children already bearing children? An African parent, of course!

So, today we share five common ways African parents show/share Love.

  1. Endless Prayers – In or out of their house, you are assured of their stream of endless prayers. Morning, night, peak and off-peak period it never stops to rain blessings on you.
  2. Praise the Lord! – This phrase is never far from the mouths of African parents in public recognition of your victories. Are you expecting your African mother to say she’s proud of you? Common! Praise God!
  3. You No go Come Home? – be assured that the African parent will rather turn into a dough of bread than admit they miss you. Just when you get the interrogation of your whereabouts especially as public holidays approach, just plan to visit your parents, they are missing you!
  4. Favourite Meal – when your parent informs you that they have made your favourite meal, it is not a point of information. They are communicating you’re their favourite person. If you’re chanced do make an arrangement to get a bite.
  5. Save Your Money – nothing irks the African parent like seeing their children spend on anything especially their parent’s health. That’s another of their love languages. Save your parents the anguish; get a budget-friendly health insurance plan from Life Action Plus HMO. That way you won’t have to pay for hospital visits.

Hope you find the list quite insightful?

Now, it’s your turn, what’s your way of showing your parent you love them?
